Bibby Learns how the Garden gets down!

Mike Bibby needs to learn how to walk the walk if he wants to talk the talk. Wednesday night Bibby and his Hawks failed to walk anywhere in the right direction, as the Celtics took a 2-0 series lead with a 96 - 77 win. After he was noted for calling local fans fair-weather fans in various interviews throughout the week, the sellout crowd made sure that Bibby knew who's house he was in - with chants of "Rondo's better." and "Where is Bibby?" flooded the air. But don't look for Bibby to keep quiet, after the game he noted "The people I was talking about know who they are," he said. "If they took offense to it, they must be part of it. I guess they are all bandwagon jumpers."

Game 3 is April 26th as the Hawks try to come back and grab a win with their 2 game (if necessary) home court advantage.

Summary of Sports :)

Here's a brief summary of the past few days in New England Sports for all you folks that have been hiding under a rock...

  • Boston Bruins - Came from behind in the series, down 3 - 0, to win their next 3 games to force Game 7. Game 6 was crazy! Between the two teams, there were over 7 goals scored in the third period, with the Bruins topping the Canadiens 5 - 4. Game 7 was a different story, back in Canada, and the Bruins failed to produce, ultimately losing 5 - 0. Considering this was only their first postseason trip in years, we should be proud of our Bruins for giving the New England hockey fans something to smile about. We always have next year to look forward to!
  • Boston Celtics - Sunday was Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks, our first postseason trip in 3 seasons. By the looks of it, we're about to sweep the series and move on to our next contender standing in the way of the NBA Championship trophy! Game 1 ended with a 104 - 81 blowout of the Hawks, with Garnett scoring 16 points, Allen adding 18, and Rajon Rondo tying the record of most assists in a playoff debut with the Celtics, with 9 assists. Game 2 is Wednesday night @ 8pm in Boston.
  • BOSTON RED SOX - The Sox sit atop the list with the best record in the American League, and second in the entire organiation, falling only behind the Arizona Diamondbacks. Big Papi finally pulled out of his slump with a grand slam, as the Red Sox continue to pull through in the late innings to win their games.
  • NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS/NFL - NFL DRAFT ONLY 4 DAYS AWAY!! The Miami Dolphins are having a hard time trying to decide who to draft with their overall number 1 pick. Almost their entire team needs construction, so there is really no bad choice for the Dolphins to make...but who knows, this is a team that went 1 - 15 in a National Football League where players get paid millions upon millions to do one thing...win. As for the Pats, they're still looking to draft a couple of defensive players, focusing on the Cornerback spot where they lost all-star Asante Samuel

What a GREAT time to be a New England fan!

Happy Birthday

A very Happy (one day belated) Birthday to the genius himself, Mr. Bill Belichick! The coach held a conference on the day of his birth, weighing in on the difficulties that lay ahead in rebuilding the team's defense. With the NFL draft looming close ahead, Belichick and his coaching staff must make some critical decisions for the team, especially when choosing their first round, number 7 draft choice...

2008 NFL Schedule Announced

The NFL has recently announced the 2008 season schedule, with quite a few good games to look forward to. As kids across the country groan at the idea of September and back to school, I am eagerly counting down the days until the Gillette season opener and my boys in blue take the field against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 7th. A few highlights to look forward to is the preseason rematch of Superbowl XLII, the only time we will face the reigning champs this season (this is until the postseason comes around!) Mangini and his Jets arrive at Gillette for a week 11 Thursday night game, and all of America will be tuning in as people are still talking about "Belicheat" and his "cheating" antics. We are also scheduled for a week 7 Monday night game against the Denver Broncos, and three Sunday night games against the San Diego Chargers, Indianapolis Colts (always a big game in itself), and lastly the Seattle Seahawks.
Here's a look at the entire schedule and all the opponents we will face on our way to 19 - 0...
