Summary of Sports :)

Here's a brief summary of the past few days in New England Sports for all you folks that have been hiding under a rock...

  • Boston Bruins - Came from behind in the series, down 3 - 0, to win their next 3 games to force Game 7. Game 6 was crazy! Between the two teams, there were over 7 goals scored in the third period, with the Bruins topping the Canadiens 5 - 4. Game 7 was a different story, back in Canada, and the Bruins failed to produce, ultimately losing 5 - 0. Considering this was only their first postseason trip in years, we should be proud of our Bruins for giving the New England hockey fans something to smile about. We always have next year to look forward to!
  • Boston Celtics - Sunday was Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks, our first postseason trip in 3 seasons. By the looks of it, we're about to sweep the series and move on to our next contender standing in the way of the NBA Championship trophy! Game 1 ended with a 104 - 81 blowout of the Hawks, with Garnett scoring 16 points, Allen adding 18, and Rajon Rondo tying the record of most assists in a playoff debut with the Celtics, with 9 assists. Game 2 is Wednesday night @ 8pm in Boston.
  • BOSTON RED SOX - The Sox sit atop the list with the best record in the American League, and second in the entire organiation, falling only behind the Arizona Diamondbacks. Big Papi finally pulled out of his slump with a grand slam, as the Red Sox continue to pull through in the late innings to win their games.
  • NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS/NFL - NFL DRAFT ONLY 4 DAYS AWAY!! The Miami Dolphins are having a hard time trying to decide who to draft with their overall number 1 pick. Almost their entire team needs construction, so there is really no bad choice for the Dolphins to make...but who knows, this is a team that went 1 - 15 in a National Football League where players get paid millions upon millions to do one thing...win. As for the Pats, they're still looking to draft a couple of defensive players, focusing on the Cornerback spot where they lost all-star Asante Samuel

What a GREAT time to be a New England fan!
